A Monument in Honor of the Late Princess Diana Was Unveiled by Both Her Sons

Princess Diana could have turned 60 years old yesterday. Now, thanks to her sons, her memory can be honored in the place she loved, in the garden of Kensington Palace, located in London.

It was the first meeting of Prince Harry and Prince William since the funeral of their grandfather, Philip, in April 2021. Despite the tense relationship between the brothers, the ceremony went smoothly. The opening of the monument coincided with the 60th anniversary of the mother of two dukes.

The brothers ordered the Princess Diana statue in 2017 and have been closely monitoring the creation process. They both wanted to be sure that the sculptor was able to reflect all the important details. Princess Diana died because of a car accident in 1997 in Paris, when the car crashed into a tunnel wall.
