After the Taliban Takeover, an Artist From Afghanistan Creates an Emotional Painting

Sarah Rahmani’s New Work of Art Tells About Afghans’ Struggles

A young Afghanistan-based artist creates an emotional picture after her home country was captured by the Taliban. The situation in Kabul affected not only its inhabitants but also hurt those people who live abroad.

Sarah Rahmani immigrated to San Diego with her family four years ago. And when being in America, she discovered the horrible events she decided to turn her pain into a work of art.

As a result, she decided to change the work she had just started to the touching acrylic painting. Originally, the unfinished portrait featured a young girl painted in the artist’s style who love to show the people along with their culture in her works.

But then Sarah added several different elements expressing what is currently happening in the country. And now we can see a sad Afgan girl whose face is painted parts in black and color. At the bottom, two Afghan women are painted in bright clothes. One of them writes peace in Farsi, while another dances traditionally wedding dance. In another corner, we can see desperate parents who are giving their babies to the US military.

You can acquire items designed by Rahmani through Kabul Comedy, and 100% of the profits will be provided to Afghan people who undergo difficulties.
