Historic Painting Where a Man Bothers a Woman Is Going Viral

An art, painted in the 1800s is going viral now because it resembles people a modern meme. The social media users compare the painting with the Milk Edinburgh meme where a man is whispering something to a girl’s ear being inside a nightclub. The meme became popular on the Internet due to the girl’s disinterested facial expression.

And now, the 1874 painting which shows a man in a hat bothering a woman who is lonely sitting on a train, is getting viral.

Twitter users even started to come up with funny and creative suggestions of what the man could have been saying to her as she looks pretty annoyed at that moment. People joke and suggested what questions the man could ask: Do you have a boyfriend? Why don’t you smiling? Do you have Snapchat?.

The work of art first appeared on Twitter, posted by WikiVictorian. The account shares various stuff from the 1800 to 1920 period. After the image was discovered, users immediately began to have a lot of fun with it.
