Herb Williams Showed Installations From Crayons. They Are Focused on the Climate Crisis

Colorful Animals From Crayons

Herb Williams has presented other sculptures which continue his current work concerning the climate crisis. Two new installations, created by the artist from Nashville, illustrate the impact of environmental disasters as well as human waste. A deer, narwhals, and a fox are made from colorful crayons and completed with a melting glacier, branches, and a cut tree. The artist’s work is particularly suitable after recent climate tragedies such as wildfires, tropical storms, and earthquakes.

Impact of the Climate Crisis

Williams’ main goal was to convey the importance of issues, using relevant colors when creating the installations. For example, the black stripes mean oil spill, while the red color represents forest fires. Green, in turn, depicts irradiated water. These bold and vibrant stripes illustrate animals’ interpretation of deforestation and the effects of environmental disasters.

Installations From Crayons

The artist is currently working on six other sculptures that will be showcased at Atlanta International Airport.
