Kengo Kito Offers a Message of Unity. The Exhibition Will Be Shown at JAPAN HOUSE

2,021 Connected Hula Hoops Fill a Unity-Themed Exhibit

These days, for many people, a return to normal life and visiting friends and relatives after months of separation means a long-awaited reunion. And namely this, the artist from Japan wanted to show in his first exhibition taking place in the United States.

Kengo Kito decided to combine 2,021 hula hoops into one big colorful installation. And he got RECONNECTING: A Vision of Unity by Kengo Kito, featuring red, yellow, orange, blue, pink, and green pieces. And it can now be seen at the Japanese House located in Holywood.

This huge installation is pleasing the eye and touches the imagination at the same time. The artist always loved to work with the hula hoops material, as these universal objects are used all over the world by both children and adults. They are universal objects suitable both for children and adults which can be connected an infinite number of times.

For the creation of this inspirational piece of art, Kengo cooperated with JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles, to bring the idea that people will always find ways to reunite with each other again. And the artist rethinks the connection with the challenges in a new way of understanding.
