This year, the Salone del Mobile was moved from April to September for the first time in three decades due to top the pandemic situation. As a result, the furniture fair’s participants reported that this gave them additional time to engage with projects and people.

The Participants of Salone Del Mobile Liked This Year’s Slow Rhythm

In addition, the design festival wasn’t attended by international clients, for example, visitors from America and Asia were missed. Namely, only 464 exhibitors were hosted compared to the 2,418 from April 2019. As well as 60,000 were recorded compared to 386,000 who visited the Salone in 2019. That’s why this year’s event has more in common with the period from the previous shows. For example, a smaller size provided benefits for little brands which actually made sales.
