A new monumental sculpture was installed in the Kazimir Malevich park near Moscow. The author is an artist and gallery owner Gregory Orekhov. The project of a park for family recreation with an area of 366.5 hectares was developed by the architectural bureau Basis.

Grigory Orekhov created a sculpture

Grigory Orekhov created a sculpture named after the famous avant-garde artist, author of the Black Square. Its black cube, as if cut in two in the middle, marks the entrance to the park, rethinking the Black Square.

Through this opening, the visitors find themselves in an endless corridor of reflections created by steel sheets polished to a mirror state. This is the crossroads of a real life and hundreds of its unfulfilled variations. The artist was able to achieve this effect by incorporating two huge mirrors into the halves of the cube.

great Russian artist Kazimir Malevich

The territory of the park is closely connected with the name of the great Russian artist Kazimir Malevich, who after 1917 often visited the nearby village and was inspired by the local landscapes. According to legend, in this forest, there is Malevich’s oak, near which he rested after a walk and painted pictures.

On the territory, there is also a cafe, a rental pavilion, football fields, volleyball courts, walking, and bicycle paths, and a workout complex.
