Paintings of a 5-Year-Old Boy Will Appear at the Exhibition of the Royal Academy of Arts

Two paintings, drawn by a five-year-old boy while he was staying at home in quarantine, will arrive at the Royal Academy of Arts.

A boy from Hull painted a draw of animals for each letter of the alphabet, and two of his works were chosen for the Summer Exhibition of Young Artists.

Vincent, who was then four years old, was very happy and started the project during the first isolation. He was inspired by the pictures of animals that he saw on his Mom’s phone and chose the one he liked the most. Then, he started to learn about countries and animals together with his mother, Claire. They started in May 2020 and finished in July. The latest work took the boy about 10 hours who used watercolors and gouache.

Vincent’s mother shared that the lack of activity during the isolation made her son bored and that’s why he decided to focus on art. And it really helped: he started sleeping well and became less irritable. Now, his parents are very proud of him.

The young man advised all the beginners to be more confident in themselves. The exhibition arrived on 13 July and will be available till 8 August. The display will feature works of art, painted by young people between the ages of 5 and 19 years old.
