Pharrell Williams Richard Mille and Coarse

Richard Mille has just presented a sculpture, designed together with the duo coarse from Los Angeles. The work of art is inspired by the RM 52-05 Tourbillon Sapphire Pharrell Williams watch. Titled Distant Bliss, the sculpture marks innovators who risk leaving their comfort zone.

The sculpture depicts an astronaut that is keeping three balloons that are upside-down in his arms. He is calmly waiting for letting go of everything to finally venture into the universe, explained the artists. Each part of the work is hand-crafted to show in detail the transparency of the balloons. And the astronaut’s bag is matching the watch’s glass made of sapphire.

Richard Mille and Pharrell both strive to change our perception of what watches and music can be. Limited to 15 copies, each sculpture was presented to an owner of the RM 52-05 watch.
