Exhibition With Floating Bubbles

CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati and Eni’s collaboration presents floating bubbles. In such a way international design and innovation company and international energy company wanted to show how much carbon dioxide each plant can capture and store from the atmosphere.

The installation called Natural Capital was installed in Milan to show the contribution of plants to climate change. The project which is located in the Brera Botanical Garden illustrates the key role of trees in absorbing emissions and producing oxygen and can be seen during the Milan Design Week 2021 exhibition until 19 September 2021.

The installation features floating bubbles of different sizes experimenting with a giant data visualization. The show extends over a 500-square-meter garden which is one of Italy’s most captivating gardens. At the entrance, the visitors can see a giant sphere lying on the ground to show the amount of carbon dioxide produced on average by the human body every month. The visitors of the exhibition can also understand the link between humans and nature, as well as be aware of the positive role that plants and forests play in our life.
