Two Exhibitions of Marina Abramović Will Arrive Next Month, and They Are Free

two exhibitions of Marina Abramović

Marina Abramović has announced a new exhibition that will take place from 10 to 12 September at Truman’s Brewery in London. The Traces will allow visitors to immerse themselves in a multimedia sensory experience created by the legendary artist. The exposition can be seen at both of Lisson Gallery’s London spaces, and it is free. The sculpture show is dedicated to one of Abramović’s idols, the opera singer Maria Callas. Both exhibitions are timed to coincide with the project Seven Deaths of Maria Callas which will be playing in Paris, Athens, Berlin, and Naples over the coming months.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the result of Marina’s cooperation with the WeTransfer platform will be presented. Together they created a series of videos that focus on meditation practices aimed at self-discovery. The so-called Abramović Method includes drinking water, walking slowly, and counting the grains of rice. As a performance artist, she has come up with various exercises that help develop willpower and concentration, overcoming physical and mental limits.

The exhibition was created not only to highlight the historical importance of the collection but also to preserve these precious relics for future generations. After the performances are shown, an interview with the artist will take place.
